What We Do

Branches Community Arts Program is a place where youth who wouldn’t be able to access a traditional after-school music program can come together to access safe community, build supportive connections and express creativity through music.

Why Branches?

At Branches we believe in providing youth the chance to pursue their musical and artistic dreams. We know the life-changing effect that the arts can have, and even beyond the skills learned, it builds character and instills valuable life skills. Most importantly, music and arts transcend the limits of verbal communication and brings individuals together to form a community.

In an effort to ensure that all children have the opportunity to experience the life-changing effect of music, our program is accessible for all and families can register for financial assistance.

Our Mission

Our mission is to empower and encourage youth, and to teach them valuable life skills such as cooperation, creativity, perseverance and community through music. We strive to be a safe space for children to connect with adults and other children in a positive manner that encourages social growth.

Our Program

We believe in holistic programming. We know that there are many factors at play in shaping a youth’s success. Our program runs Monday-Thursday 3:30-5:30, with each day of programming beginning with a healthy snack. This is followed by instrument specific group and ensemble sessions as the core of the program, along with additional activities focused on building community, connections, and opportunities for creative expression.
